Here's a photo of my brother-in-law, Mark Evans (at Dulles airport). Professionalism keeps his excitement at bay. . .
Our flight from D.C. to Charlotte, NC was uneventful; a short, 55 minute flight. The Omni hotel here in Charlotte has free wireless internet service - this is great!!
The NSO performs at Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC).
Our venue is a large chapel . . my drums are situated in a cage . . or perhaps a penalty box??
Bass trombonist, Matt Guilford enjoys a Guinness after the concert in Winston-Salem, NC.
Matt has a terrific website at: www.matthewguilford.com
Principal percussionist, Tony Ames in the lobby of the Omni Hotel (Charlotte) waiting to take the bus to the airport . . . we are on our way to Gainesville, Florida today.

I had a great time at Rollins College (Winter Park, FL) this morning; presenting a timpani clinic.
The NSO travels to Sarasota, Florida today. The weather was bad . . a lot of rain. When we finally arrive at the Hyatt hotel, however, the weather is great and the view from the hotel room is quite nice.
Terri Cigan and her daughter, Claudia enjoy the weather in Sarasota before loading onto the buses for NYC.
The weather this morning is perfect!! Sorry we have to leave!!
Tony Ames makes his entrance. Click HERE to see his brief movie! [1.3 MB].
John enjoys a nice lunch with attorney, Alan Bergman (left). Alan Bergman's office (in NYC) has been involved in handling copyright issues associated with John's new book. Jay (right-hand side) has also been a great help; contacting the various publishers etc. for the proper clearances and paperwork.
